Care

Cure, protect,
hand over

Guidance drawn from the system guides. The current written specification and the protective finish data sheet govern your project.

M-01 Care

Dry is not cured

At +20 C: light walkability about 48 hours (subject to protection and handover controls), hardening about 7 days, furniture about 10 days, full cure about 28 days. Cooler or damper conditions take longer.

First week

After the last Decor Finish coat allow 72 hours protected drying. During the first week keep the surface dry, do not clean it and avoid general or preventable traffic.

Furniture

Never drag furniture. Wait about 10 days before placing it, then lift it and use felt or soft protectors.

Cleaning

Ask us for guidance for your specific protection before choosing products, and avoid abrasive cleaning. Do not clean during the first week. Wipe spills promptly.

Heat

Use trivets and mats on benchtops. Heat exposure should be assessed for the project and not tested on the finished surface.

Chemicals

Avoid concentrated chemicals, solvents and strong cleaners on any protected surface. Confirm anything unusual with us first.

Pools

Pool water and filling

  • Wait at least 15 days at 20 C and 65% RH after the final protection before filling. Wait longer if cooler.
  • pH 6.5 to 7.5.
  • Free active chlorine 0.7 to 1.5 ppm.
  • Water temperature 18 to 30 C.
  • Chlorine shock treatments may shorten coating life and change appearance. Do not let concentrated chemicals touch the coating.
  • Pool work needs a professionally assessed shell and professional application.

Protection by use

Decor Finish without a slip-resistance additive is only for walls and dry interior floors. Additive ratings and use are UNCONFIRMED. Bathrooms, showers and exteriors are not automatically approved.

VetroLiquido PRP follows its own data sheet and the project specification. Record the protection used, the cure dates and the handover restrictions for the owner.
